Dan Myers was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Leo Lens Pharma in 2020. Prior to joining Leo Lens, Dan Myers was the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alimera Sciences, where he continues to serve as chairman of the Board of Directors. Before founding Alimera, Mr. Myers was a founding employee of Novartis Ophthalmics (formerly CIBA Vision Ophthalmics) and served as its President from 1997 to 2003. Mr. Myers has over 35 years of ophthalmic pharmaceutical experience, including over 21 years in the role of president or chief executive officer.
Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Since January 2001, Praful Doshi has led the development of the MediPrint™ process at Leo Lens. Mr. Doshi has over 40 years of experience working at major contact lens companies including Pilkington Barnes Hind, Wesley Jessen, and Bausch+Lomb. Mr. Doshi’s experience combined with his vision and leadership has secured millions of dollars of support for Leo Lens from grants, industry partners, and individual investors. His creative vision and innovative approach to solving the problems faced by contact lens manufacturers, eye care professionals, and contact lens users has resulted in 40+ patents. Many of his patents revolutionized the cosmetic lens industry, creating more natural looking lenses. Driven by the desire to provide relief to contact lens wearers and to those who suffer from eye disease, Mr. Doshi continues to partner with global industry leaders and researchers to advance contact lens-based medical treatments. He is recognized as a leader in this field, for his entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for creating beautiful and healthy eyes.
Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel
Mr. Key has 7+ years experience working with high growth technology companies. His combination of business acumen and legal knowledge will help guide Leo Len’s commercialization efforts. Mr. Key has been a successful fundraiser and grant writer. Mr. Key obtained his J.D. with honors from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. In his spare time, Mr. Key enjoys taking his wife and two dogs to the beach in beautiful San Diego.
Manager of Manufacturing Engineering; Founding Member of Leo Lens
Mr. Halbe has 25+ years of experience in the contact lens industry, specializing in manufacturing processes and digital printing. With an engineering background Mr. Halbe’s expertise translates into innovative solutions from concept to manufacturing. A founding member of Leo Lens, he has been actively involved with the development of inkjet printed digital images on contact lenses. Previously Mr. Halbe worked for Barnes Hind and Wesley Jessen.
Director of Quality
Mr. Balasubramanian has 25+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry. He has experience in pharmaceutical QA/QC, cGMP compliance, and CMC supporting INDs and NDAs.
In addition to our staff Leo Lens partners with advisors to bring well-rounded expertise to develop our products and processes.
Mr. Fancher is leading business development efforts for Leo Lens. Before working with Leo Lens Mr. Fancher was the Senior VP of Sales for Coopervision, helping them grow from $14M to $450M in sales. Prior to that position, he worked for Allergan and Johnson and Johnson. He also was the VP of Sales and VP of Business Development at Synergeyes.
Mr. Rodrigues has 30+ years experience in medical device and life science sectors. He played a key role in several acquisitions including $325M sale of I-Flow.
Mr. Novack is leading the regulatory affairs efforts for Leo Lens. He has contributed to 40+ FDA approved products and over 100 IND/IDE submissions.
